#1 Tool You Need: Simultaneously Preach In-Person & Broadcast Online

As government restrictions are lifting from COVID-19 and your congregation is coming back to church, we have a dilemma —

HOW DO WE PRODUCE A GOOD EXPERIENCE FOR OUR OUR ONLINE AND IN PERSON VISITORS?

The reality is much of your congregation wants to be back in church, but some CAN’T come back to church for their own safety. Because of this, we encourage churches to still broadcast on social media.

If you’re planning on going LIVE while preaching in-person, please consider purchasing a specific microphone for your phone. The last thing your online audience who can’t come to church wants is extremely echoey sound — this is a huge distraction and may prevent people from understanding the message God is wanting you to share. Bottom line — If the audio is bad, there’s a high likelihood they’ll stop tuning in.

There are some great wired and affordable microphones out there, but we believe wireless is best option for Pastors — no wires, no tripping, no unplugging. Without further ado,

Here are two great wireless microphone options that connect to your phone for under $200.

Rode Wireless GO

This wireless microphone set up is fairly simple and comes from an extremely reputable video equipment company, Rode. It comes with a microphone that easily clips onto your shirt, as well as a receiver.

NOTE: If you’re using an iPhone, you’ll also need to buy this cable adapter to connect to your Lightning Cable Dongle.

The RODE Wireless Go comes in White or Black.

Originating from a KickStarter campaign, this nifty little set up comes in at less than $150. If you settle for the $150 option, you’re limited to recording the video/audio within the company’s app. For those interested in recording live to social media, you’ll have to purchase the Twin Package at $278 which allows you to record audio outside of the Sabinetek app. Users have reported that standard settings make the microphone sound HOT, be sure to test and adjust to a lower volume setting before your first real use. You’ll find some helpful videos below with more details.

Please — test before you go live!

Whichever options you decide to use, we encourage you — TEST, TEST, TEST. Be sure to test your equipment BEFORE it’s needed to work out any kinks.
